12 week old teething?

My 12 week old (corrected ) DS has a low grade temp, drooling the last week or so , fists in his mouth all the time , red cheeks, very unsettled earlier and hes normally a very happy baby.

Does this sound like it could be teething or is he to early ? I'm not sure if I should be concerned or not . Thanks x

My son got his first tooth at 12 weeks. And it definitely sounds like teething. So could be! I found ibuprofen much better for teething than paracetamol if you want to give him something.

Agreed with PP. Try paracetamol to take the edge off but if it doesn’t help, ibuprofen (helps with swollen gums).

also, testhing powder is a godsend

rubbing his gums with a clean muslin. Using a soft toothbrush. We also had Sophie but DD wasn’t interested. She did enjoy a good gum massage

its just about trying different things to see what your child prefers. Good luck and brace yourself!

My nephew got his first tooth at 2 weeks. It’s not too early. Calpol, teething gel and teething toys.

It could be, but drooling and fists in mouth are normal for babies. The red cheeks and temp I would say are teething symptoms. Alot of times with babies it's about ruling things out, I would try some teething gel/powder and see if this helps baby
