Aw. Not traumatised...processing Think positive.

he was 3 on saturday

(hence presence of gandpaents, hence pesence of guilt e nappies)

anyway, 2 days of no nappies and i decided to postpone ou effots

it was getting moe and moe difficult to get hi to the toilet/potty, and not once did he say he needed to go

lots of accidents - often within seconds of lkeaving the toilet/potty

Sod it, wait until GPs have gone ( hard to focus on fullness of bladder when granny is downstairs).

I left ds in nappies but still took him off to potty about every 20 minutes, with big song and dance when he actually wee'd in it. When he wee'd on floor or in nappy I would just say " oh dear. Never mind. In the potty next time" not in an angry way but in a very emotionless way.

Took about a week. Involved one session of telling him off (firm but gentle)for weeing on the floor about 20 seconds after getting off potty and saying he didn't need a wee. That was during his day of total potty-uselessness about half way through, then he cracked it.

I would stop completely for a few weeks. Then go slowly.

Ds1 was a little terror, would not ptrain. I had told the nursery he was dry. First day at nursery school I told him that the nappy was off FOREVER and that he had to, had to, wee in the loo like the others. And blow me down, he did

Have probably given him urinary probs for the rest of his days, but it worked a treat.

So follow my advice or my example! Very different.
