High backed booster recommendations

Hi, looking for recommendations for a high backed booster. DC is 4 and around 50th centile for height last time he was measured.

I'm currently looking at the Britax Versafix and Evolvafix, if anyone has any experience of either?

Those are both harnessed seats which convert to high backed booster.

Do you want a seat with harness for your DC? What seat are they in now and what is their weight and height?

I would have preferred a harness for a little while longer but we measured him before bed and he's about 102cm so maybe he'll soon be too tall for the harnessed seats and we should just look at a standard high backed booster?

He's in a Joie Spin 360 currently but I think he's too tall for it now. We have a 16 month old too so the plan is he will go into the Joie once the eldest has a new seat.

I'd have to check his weight but he's slim - always been lower centiles for weight.

At 102cm he'll probably have another 6 months or so to reach 105cm, so it would be worth getting a seat like the ones you mentioned if you prefer it for him now.

The Joie 360 fits for ages longer than 105cm, but if you need it for a younger sibling and he's already forward facing (and especially if he's under 15kg) then it makes sense to swap them both to a new seat.

The Versafix is basically the same as the Evolvafix but has slightly nicer fabrics. You could also look at Maxi Cosi Titan or Onyx and Silver Cross Balance i-size. All of these test well, similarly to the Britax seats. (Advansafix is similar too).

Is the Joie already on the top headrest position? The Britax top position when the harness is engaged is slightly lower than the Joie one. It goes up higher once you detach the 5-point harness.
