Using too big cot sheets

Can I use 135x70 cot sheets on a 120x70 mattress? My first kid is in an awkwardly sized cot and mattress so had to buy special sheets - obviously buying new cot and mattress for #2 but want to ideally reuse sheets!!

Could you get something to hold them together underneath if they are too big??

Why are you buying a new cot - fair enough get a new mattress but a new cot seems unnecessary

Baby 1 still using cot 1!

Ah fair enough!

I think there are elastic things you can anchor the sheets together under the mattress. Might keep them taut. Googling mattress straps or sheet clips seems to bring up what I mean.

Great so basically as long as I can pull it fairly taut it should be fine? Thanks
