Four year eye squint

Four year old needs to be seen for a slight eye squint, mainly if focusing up close. Do I take her the optician or is it for a gp to refer her more to a hospital based eye doctor. Just not sure which is the right option for someone to take a look at her and dkk on t want a wasted trip to the wrong place thanks all 😁

My son had surgery for a squint when he was 5. From memory he was referred to the eye hospital by an optician.
