She doesn't want to come home and exdh has put her in a new school up North.

She just said "You can sell my things mummy and I'll talk to you on the phone,I love you, bye!"

8 years of struggling just not good enough then.

How long has she been up there?

Were you married, ie does he have parental responsibility?

dividedself · 19/05/2008 19:04

He doesn't have PR and residency has been granted by court to me. She has gone up there to give me a break while I sort our dire financial problem this week (there is a thread on the matter). DS also there.

She's been there since Weds evening.

I'm trying to decide whether it might be for the best. She has a right to choose but I don't really think she sews the bigger picture.

Her father owes over £3000 to me in missed CSA payments.

its like a holiday at the moment though. bet they are doing lots of fun things.
It wont last. Normal routines will kick in soon ewnough and her dad will tell her off for something, then she'll be on the phone to you wanting her Mum.

NotABanana · 19/05/2008 19:08

Sounds like a line fed by her father.

dividedself · 19/05/2008 19:17

Well, yes. Hence I mention the CSA money. What will it be like when they can't afford to do all the fun stuff they will have been over the last few days..? What will it be like when Daddy is tired, exhausted actually, has bills coming out of his ears, homework, grouchy bored dd and ds, it's raining, the washing machine has broken and there is uniform to iron and he hasn't had a Saturday night out in months..?

I think it sounds like she's testing that you do actually want her to come home! Being all brave and proud but actually wanting you to say 'I miss you'.
