Matching Clothes

Thoughts people? My sons mum is trying to encourage my son to call her partner dad, she is also now buying her partner and my son matching clothes to wear like a father and son or mother and daughter might do. Im not an absent father and have been a 50/50 co parent for nearly 4 years. Was interested on peoples views of what his mother has been doing which i believe causes great confusion for a 5 nearly 6 year old. Thanks

The outfit thing is weird but I think you would be odd to object. Her encouraging him to call her partner dad is worse. If you have a good co parenting relationship then you gently explain your point of view on this.
At the end of the day though children are not stupid. If you are a good dad he will feel this in his bones. Also if the partner sticks around it is best for your ds to have a good relationship with him.
