Baby's clothed in a carrier

Hi,
I'm trying to get my baby to get used to a carrier. It's the baby bjorn mini in mesh. I've read that the carrier counts as a layer and my body counts as a layer. I want to ideally use this mainly around the house to save my arms and wrists from carrying baby all day long. I want to make sure he won't overheat.
What do I put baby in clothes wise? He normally wears a vest and sleepsuit. He's 6 weeks if that makes any difference.
Thank you!

It depends on the temperature of your house really. Put your hand on his back/chest to check his temperature. Careful with footed pjs as they sort of pull up in the carrier and can be uncomfortable on the toes.

Also, I know mumsnet LOVES a carrier but your baby should have as much floor time as possible to build neck strength etc. Carriers should be used minimally according to paedetricians' advice.
