HELP! 13 month old habit wakings and SCREAMING!

Looking for some advice please.

My son is 13 months old and breastfed. Dosent eat loads in the day (is offered) but gaining weight and healthy!

He wakes at the same time every night between 9-10pm and screams and goes mad! Headbutts the cot so hard we have to go in so he dosent hurt himself! Partner goes in as he’s not hungry at this point and DS goes MAD!!! It’s pure anger and frustration. He then wakes a further 4/5 times and does the same.

He has about 2 night feeds and approx 4/5 wakes ups of screaming.

Has been able to self soothe in past and still can now, he seems to just not want to. Nap times aren’t a problem at all, he can go down drowsy in his cot and just go off to sleep for a long nap! It’s just night times.

Any advice on how to fix the habit wakings and get down to just one feed please?

Feeling exhausted both me and my partner and don’t know what to do! DS1 was a bad sleeper but never so angry in the night haha!

Nurofen at bedtime? Could easily be teeth

Nurofen at bedtime? Could easily be teeth

Thanks ☺️ Have tried both nurofen and calpol and makes no difference! Been going on 2 months so can’t give all the time!

No idea why he does it! Partners currently in there with him going mad

No answers I'm afraid but we are exactly the same although a month younger. Have noticed it's got quite a lot worse lately and put it down to some sort of 12mo regression. Following with interest (and solidarity!)

Does he need a later bed time? Or to drop a nap if he's still having two? Yeah can't just drug him indefinitely 😂

Children even this young can start getting night terrors. My friends daughter had this problem she would scream and headbutt. Probably worth looking into it

Something must be bothering him, poor thing.

My baby is doing this just now and I'm positive it's his teeth.

Is it too hot/cold? Is he in the right sleeping bag/ pyjamas?
