What’s a good age gap ?

In your experience what’s a good age gap between your first and second child ? I’m very much done if we do manage to conceive a second as it took us a long time to get pregnant the first time. My 1st will be 1 next month and I’m thinking to try again around from September meaning there would be roughly a 2 year age gap that is assuming we were to conceive quickly which is definitely not guaranteed we had a lot of problems conceiving our first it took 2 years.

I had a 16mo age gap which wasn't planned, but I loved it. I'd recommend the smaller gap - I'd just crack on if I were you! It's hard at first but they are so close and enjoy the same things and toys (mostly!). They were playing together as soon as the youngest could sit up.

I don’t think there’s a right or wrong time frame as everyone’s circumstances are different but from experience I’d say the closer the better. Though not applicable in your case I had 1 year between my two. If youngest had arrived on time I’d have had 2 under 2! We wanted them close and were aiming for around 16 months but obviously nature thought differently 😂
