few things you could try....

Cold rinse or two before you wash

Washing them with your normal wash so they aren't sitting around for long

this

stop dry pailing and soak in bicarb or white vinegar solution (not wraps though)

dont have wraps, i use wool shorties. i will def try the bicarb solution... how much you think?

My nappies honked of ammonia when they came out of the machine. Also, when I took them off DS they smelt really musty. As for his night nappy - it knocked me backwards, stank of ammonia big time.

I done the cold rinse method this morning & it worked. I got this advice from Kitty Kins nappy retailer website, she also suggests soda crystals too:

Have also taped a cotton ball with a few drops of tea tree oil to the underside of nappy bucket (I dry pail).
