Year 6 leavers party - looking for inspiration!

The parents at DS’s school usually organise an end of year party for the Year 6 leavers. Would love to hear about others’ experiences for inspiration!

One idea that’s been suggested is hiring the town’s outdoor pool for an afternoon and getting lots of pizzas delivered, which sounds fun but risky if the weather’s poor.

if your DC have moved up to secondary school, what did they do to mark the end of primary?

For all of mine (bar the Covid years) had a party at a local social club, parents all helped out, dominoes pizza, parents stayed if they wanted to for a drink, lots of fancy dress and photo booths and a disco. Class teachers turned up for a bit as guests of honour. Relatively cheap and the kids loved it, all wearing their leavers hoodies. A few years later some parents organised a leavers party at a very posh place locally and feedback was that it wasn’t as great.

Photo booths are a great idea, the rest too
