Potty training for night time?

Does anyone have any advice for a 3 year old who is potty trained during the day, in pull ups at night but at the stage where he doesn’t want them on, but still wee’s during the night?

He’s waking up super early and not going back to sleep, as he wants to take his pull ups off as he’s uncomfortable. But he won’t go all night without weeing, I’m not sure if he would wake up early hours to wee but certainly the first chunk of deep sleep he won’t.

I kept his pull ups off the other night (his request) and within a few hours he had wet the bed bless him.

Any tips of advice would be appreciated as I’m a tired mumma with a tired boy

You work on keeping the pull ups on. You might consider reusable pull ups. They’re basically like big padded pants. Realistically, he doesn’t sound ready to be dry at night and is just annoyed by the pull ups, so I wouldn’t stress yourself with trying to get him dry at night right now.

Get him up for a dream wee when you go to bed? Would that help him last the night?

I agree he definitely isn’t ready, I just don’t know how to work on keeping the pull ups on! He takes them off around 4/5am and comes into me and won’t go back to sleep. I’ve tried different ones, with spider man on but I guess he’s just uncomfortable bless him.

his dad is going to try the dream wee tonight, which may help if he wees less? As sometimes he does have a dry night but rarely! Thank you both for the advice x

If you are going to take to the toilet at night then make sure they are aware of what's happening or you're making them pee in their sleep anyway
