Our girl was a great sleeper and could self settle..then the minute she was on the move it all went to shit😂😂
will only contact nap for a nap longer than 30 mins, will not sleep in cot (constant wake ups).

basically just looking for any advice on how you got your baby to sleep independently or if it was just a phase and she will grow out of it😩!!

Ok. Breathe. It is a phase, and she will grow out of it, but it may take a few months. I'm all for an easy life, so if contact naps and bed sharing get you the most sleep for the next couple of months I'd do that. She'll go back to being able to sleep alone when she's developmentally ready.

Sending solidarity! It’s so difficult to know what’s what at this age - is it a developmental leap / regression/ teething - often you never know.

i’ve only got one child and we sleep trained at 6 months because she like yours went from being quite a good self settler to waking up several times a night and only being able to sleep if attached to the boob. We used Ferber - much noticeable difference after 3 nights and now she reliably sleeps through. Personally best decision I made - not for everyone I know and you need to be ok with a few nights of crying - which isn’t nice but definitely worth it. She’s much happier after a full nights sleep as are we! At about 8 months her first bottom teeth erupted and sleep was awful despite Ferber so I just bought her in with me and we did some co-sleeping when she woke up then eventually this just stopped once her teeth were through I think.

whatever you choose to do - I do think everything is a phase.
You’re doing a great job x

@Springadorable @Theboymolefoxandhorse

Thank you so much, I had visions of the three of us sleeping in the bed forever like Charlie and the chocolate factories grandparents😂 will keep trying with the cot!!

Not at all! So I did the opposite of @Theboymolefoxandhorse and bed shared with both of mine because I was breast feeding and lazy, and they are now both great sleepers without me doing anything other than waiting for them to get older (and stop getting so many bloody teeth!). So you have options either way. Solidarity though, it's rough!

Sounds very much like the 9 month sleep regression. It can be awful.

Shell get back on track with not too much fuss OP. In the meantime try and take turns having a lie in and drink plenty of Brew to try and stay awake Flowers

SOLIDARITY!! It's like what now? Another regression? Teething? We do whatever we need to to get through it. Every time my wee girl has always went back to normal (pretty good sleeper, self settles but still needs rocked to sleep 🤣). I just try and tell myself this too shall pass, we've been through worse and also that it must be hard for her wee self too, wonder what it's like for them eh? It does fascinate me 🤣 xx
