My 7 month old has never slept well and she seems to be having a hard time staying asleep at the beginning of the night which she previously did well. We are trying to teach her to self settle but every time she wakes up she rolls onto her belly gets up on her arms and screams. Once she’s rolled onto her belly you can’t get her back to sleep properly. I don’t know what to do as she has been doing this for over a month and we are exhausted. How can we teach her to self settle when we have to keep helping her as she’s so distressed when rolling onto her belly. She can roll both ways but she won’t as she is so upset. If I try and give her time to work it out she she just screams more and more and it takes me so much longer to get her back to sleep.
