If you’ve took a 6 week old, what is there to do for baby’s that age?

im also a little nervous as hes quite a miserable baby compared to most newborns I’ve been around and he crys a LOT. Should I wait until he’s older?

The class would be for your benefit OP. At that age he won't be gaining anything.

Playmat at home, carrying him around in a sling is entertaining enough.

Most would suggest after eight week jabs. For sensory/massage possibly, swimming, music etc later.

If you are in England, do you have a local Facebook page ?

I often see requests for ' what to do / where to go with baby ' requests, and other mums reply saying there is x on Thursday y on Tuesday and z on Friday, and usually a mum will post a link to a group that does things on different days in different locations.

Many years ago now but I did ' baby music ' with mine very early - mums / nannies / few dads with babies on their knees singing baby songs with actions, we started baby swim at 4 ? months and baby gym by then too.

I wasn't into the local mum and baby / toddler groups that met in ( Church ) halls and ' just ' chatted.

but yes there should be plenty out there, it's just finding it and liking it.

I can only speak for my daughter but I tried taking her around 8 weeks and she was miserable! She is a sensitive little thing and would mostly cry in classes until she was 6 months old. I'd say most of my friends waited until 4-5 months before they felt baby was getting much out of it!

I went from about 4 weeks with DD. The other babies from my NCT group were between 1 and 3 months older and she slept through most of them, but did enjoy the bits she woke up for and was baby signing pretty competently by 4 months older
