Taking newborn out

Hi everyone,

So my baby is 3 weeks old and I've been trying to go out regularly as I have a 2 year old who needs a lot of entertaining! However, when out being pushed in pram or while in the car baby doesn't seem to cry as often as if we were indoors (I know it's because babies are calmer with movement) but it makes me worried because I breastfeed on demand and so feel like perhaps she's too comfortable when out and not feeding as often as she should be. It worries me that it might affect my milk supply/her weight gain because as I said when at home she cries and feeds much more often!

Please let me know if this is normal, or if it's better for me to stay more indoors during this period until breastfeeding becomes established??

Completely normal! Mine did exactly the same and made no difference to my supply or baby’s weight or anything. You’re doing amazingly getting out and about and your little one is clearly enjoying it so much.
they'll let you know when they’re hungry 😊

@Beemummyx oh I'm so glad to hear that, I was especially worried because she also does the same thing whilst I'm carrying her in the sling!
