Is this cradle cap?

Baby is 5 weeks old and over the past few days this scaly skin has appeared on his head. It wasn’t there previously and not sure if it’s cradle cap? I have heard about cradle cap shampoo but my poor guy has very little hair so not sure if that would be the right thing to use? Looking for suggestions/advice please!

Yes it's cradle cap.
I didn't bother treating DDs and it went by itself. You can try coconut oil on it.

My midwife recommeded rubbing olive oil into it. That was several decades ago mind and things might have moved on since then.

Yes it is. I treated DS and it still never fully went away until he was 3. Overall the shampoo was useless but coconut oil really worked at lifting it all up. But it still kept coming back.

Coconut oil, and very gently with a nit comb worked for us but they had it for years
