Dance mums, festival help?

Hi, my daughter has her first festival this week and I’m a bit confused. She’s only doing one dance in the morning section, will we need to stay all day or just for her section? Also don’t usually show up at the very start of the festival or like 30 mins before her dance. I’m guessing we arrive with hair and makeup done but not yet in costume?

Sorry I’m so clueless as I’m very new to this!

Ask the principal or teacher. It’ll be different for each festival and every dance school does things their own way.

What does her school say? There are usually conventions around this behaviour.
At DD's school they attend as a team, support each other and leave together. Turn up with hair done but no make up, this is applied and removed backstage at the same time as putting on/taking off costumes.

When my DD danced (at various dance schools). We were only ever expected to be there for their sections but did often stay for a while to support friends.

I would be there earlier than 30 mins before in the unlikely chance they are running early.

We would do hair and make up at home for the first dance of the day.
