Double buggies for newborn and tall pre-schooler?

I’m looking to buy a 2nd hand double buggy that will work for a newborn and a pre-schooler who is tall for her age. DD will be almost 3.5 when sibling is born but has some mobility issues arising from low muscle tone so will probably still need the buggy for longer distances (we walk a lot) and days out. If you used a double buggy for older children how long did it last for?

Baby Jogger City Mini GT2 with carry cot attachment. They do a double version of it and you can attach a carrycot to one of the seats for the baby (not sure if you have to buy it separately) so it faces you, and then when baby is bigger just remove it and put them in the usual seat. We have the single GT2 for my nearly 3 year old and have only recently bought it as he outgrew our old pram. We need a stroller that will last us another couple of years as we do a lot of walking and he can’t always manage it. My mum has one at her house for DS and my brothers step children, that she got second hand from her friend, who’s tall 8 year old (who wears size 11-12 clothes) fit in it until he turned 6. We saw how much room DS had in my mums and so bought one for ourselves. It’s got so much room it’s great. You can buy a separate belly bar to attach to it as well, which we did as DS loves to hold onto it, and the footrest pops up and the back drops flat, so you can have it in a fully lie flat position if you need to, which may be handy for when the new baby is bigger but still napping a lot. It’s quite good on multi-terrain as the wheels are bigger than usual strollers. If we had another baby now and needed a double stroller, it’s definitely what I’d buy. There’s a lot around second hand as well on eBay etc.
