Toddler crayons that actually make marks?

Any recommendations from anyone on the best crayons for toddlers that actually make marks?

Our LO loves to "colour" but lacks confidence to use the crayons as they don't make very good marks. They are crayola wax crayons but I find you have to press really hard so it often means it's me colouring and LO watching no matter how much encouragement I give.

Maybe try some paint sticks? They’re crayon like but you get really vibrant colour from very little force. Also washable felt tips- I know this isn’t technically what you asked for but it might be easier than finding crayons that make marks easily.

Stockmar block beeswax crayons

I would just get some crayola washable pens.

I see @MyCatisCalledDream beat me to it 😁 another vote for Stockmar beeswax crayons

Ikea do some lovely chunky short pencils that are really easy for little ones to make marks with!

Or buy some sugar paper to use. It has a rougher surface texture so “catches” the wax more easily.

Second the paint sticks, usually cheap in places like the works, they give such a bright and vivid picture with little effort.
They are a firm favourite amongst my toddler class!

Thanks for all the suggestions! I'm off to find supplies
