Any help would be greatly appreciated.
my baby has been constipated for over a month now, we’ve had 3 visits to the doctors and 2 trips to A&E, he is 8 months old and is having pouches and is weaning. He pushes so hard to try and push a poo out but nothing comes out, he screams the place down because it must be hurting him that much, he is straining himself so much and it can not be any good for him. When he pushes he goes bright red in the face and cries because he can’t push it out. The doctors and hospital are an absolute waste of time as they do not help in the slightest, they just keep telling us the same thing which is keep giving him lactalose, movicol & glycerin. We’ve been trying these for over a month and none of it is working which we are explaining to the doctors and hospital but all they say is ‘keep trying it’ what a joke. Our latest visit to the hospital was today after been referred by the doctors, when my little boy got seen he just got sent on his way with another dose of glycerin, no scans, no feel of the stomach, nothing. We rub nappy cream in because his bum is that sore from constantly pushing and we can feel lumps either side of his anus, I’m assuming where the poo is building up as he can’t push it out. I’m sick to death of getting fobbed off by the NHS. Can anybody help please
