Happy Mother’s Day.
my children are 18 and 15z
their dad does not live with us but still does at lot with us.
I had a lovely sleep in this morning my son said Happy Mother’s Day and my daughter has just been given her breakfast in bed.
just feeling a bit sad for myself . Their dad says your not my mum so why should I do something for you.
they are generally good kids so as I said I am feeling a bit sorry for myself but does anyone else feel like this.

Similar here. Kids are mid-teens. Both gave me a card (one home-made, one bought with pocket money) and some chocolates from both of them. I asked if we were going out or anything today (so I could plan mealtimes) and ‘D’H asked why I was asking him as I’m not his mother. DH is the father of my children for clarification.
Meanwhile, almost all my friends with kids of similar ages are enjoying lovely days out today, organised by their partners. Even my childless (through choice) friend has been whisked out for a nice lunch by her DH ‘for being a fab Dog Mum’ 😂
