Outdoor activities for 14 month old

I would love some ideas for outside activities to do in the back garden (or the park) with my new toddler. I’m not very confident taking him outside yet or with activities for this age range! It’s too cold for a paddling pool I think. Thanks in advance x

Sand pit/tray (keep it covered when not in use). Have some old toy cars/trucks to play with in there, spade/shovel etc)
Mud kitchen (or just some soil, pots, water etc)
Water tray (pouring etc, use warm water, add some bubble bath/washing up liquid) - wear a puddle suit and wellies.
Bubbles
Water painting
Giant chalks
Balls - different sizes and weights
Bean bags
Running around
Obstacle course/den
Climbing frame
Play house
Trike
Treasure hunt/collecting things etc
Trampoline (age appropriate)

Perfect time of year for an egg hunt using bright coloured plastic eggs.

"Gardening"... I.e playing in the dirt when you plant some flowers or veg.

Great suggestions from pp.

At this age you don't really need to worry about 'activities' just let them outside and follow their lead. It'll probably be picking up twigs and stones and looking at something really random for aaaages. Toddling about. Splashing in puddles. Another five minutes staring at a bench/tree/ant. Some more twigs.

Letting children lead their own adventures is really important for development so don't be afraid to go sans activity and let your toddler lead the way.

Mine enjoys:

Walking along the garden wall holding my hand
Painting using water and a paint brush everything
Poking soil with her spade.
Bubbles
Moving sticks / pebbles from one pile to another.
Moving stones with her dump truck
Washing my car with water/ cloth/ paintbrush
Kicking a ball

Mine liked playing in soil and trying to eat whatever they could find. Collecting sticks and rocks and then trying to eat them.

Splashing in a tray of water was fun too but it was mostly eating things.
