Baby Christening

Hi Mums,
I am looking to get my son christened in the chapel in Northern Ireland, I’m just looking some advice.

due to me having very bad social anxiety I don’t want a lot of people there, does anyone know if you can have a private christening? Just me, my son and the godparents and obviously the priest.

can the priest arrange that or is that not allowed?

I know most christenings have other families there as well but due to my anxiety I don’t want crowds if that makes sense.

thanks in advance x

I think that is a question you need to put to the presbyter.
Only (s)he will be able to tell you what (s)he is willing to do.

I think they usually do a few babies at a time, I've never heard of a private baptism. You could ask the priest but they are usually booked up weeks in advance so I can't see where they'd get the time to do one stand alone.
