Hi all wasn’t sure where to post this

i want to keep videos of our month old baby girl growing up and to share with her for when she is older

i just wondered if anyone else has done this and best place to store them? I was thinking of creating her an email account but the size limits stop big videos…

appreciate any advice thank you x

Is a hard drive possible?

Dbank · 26/03/2025 10:58

What sort of phone do you have? (i.e. iPhone or Android)?

We have a shared album on the iCloud for each child with all their pics and videos which we both add too. Very easy to do

We use family album app. You can invite other family members to it, uf you want to. we have grandparents and uncles on there. we have videos and pictures there it keeps track of the childrens ages when they were uploaded

I've used Wondershare Filmora to put the best ones together into a longer 20-30min video.

Once you get into the habit it's easy and it's so worthwhile of you can. Then I have longer videos to show my son and he have them as memories

If you're using an Apple phone, I suggest the following steps.

  1. Create an iCloud account for the baby, (iCloud.com)
  2. On your existing iCloud account, create a shared album, and share it with the account created in step 1.
  3. Add any media to this shared album, and it will dynamically update.
  4. Log into the account, (in a web browser) created in step 1, accept the shared album and observe the shared media.
  5. When the baby is old enough, they can access the media, either via a web browser or by connecting an Apple device to the account created in step 1. (providing you give / leave instructions with the credentials etc.)

I would also advise that you set up your emergency and legacy contacts in the event of your death resulting in the non payment of your storage. link
