Hi

My 9 month old dh haS come up in terrible nappy rash, not only is his little bum red and sore but the skin has split a bit . This is the first time we have had nappy rash and i think i am going to put it down to teething!
Well - i am sure i heard that you cannot use Sudocreme with cloth nappies, so i have been given a disposable by a friend and but him to bed in that slathered in Sudocreme as i couldn't just leave it.
But - obviously the sposie is a one off and he will be back in cloth tomorrow morning so what can i use for nappy rash on a cloth bummed baby???

I'm sorry to hear that your DS has come down with such bad nappy rash.
(I'm guessing that it isn't actually your DH!!)

I'm not sure where you heard that you can't use Sudocreme with cloth nappies.
I have never heard that and happily use it with mine. I have never had a problem but have found it useful when DD has NR.
Unless you heard from a professional source, maybe you'd like to give it a try afterall.

By the way, it's possible that the rash is due to teething, but if it's very bad and very sudden, is there any chance that it could be due to DS's diet?
Has he started eating any new foods recently that could have caused it?
When my DD had just turned one year old she suddenly came down with awful nappy rash that I couldn't rid of and I actually started to worry that I'd have to quit using cloth nappies altogether.
After a week I suddenly realised that it was caused by her eating satsumas.
As soon as I removed them from her diet it cleared up immediately.
Maybe your DS has stared eating something that doesn't agree with him...???
