Chaotic toddler.

Hi guys,

My DD is 23 months old, and ever since she could walk I cannot take my eyes off her. If I do, she will be climbing something, running into immediate danger or trying to put something gross in her mouth. She is extremely loud, like LOUD, despite my constant reminder of inside voices. I am so proud of her, I truly think she's got all the tools to be a strong independent woman. I cant help but notice, when we are with other toddlers her age, they never seem to want to leave their parents sight, mine will be gone and she is so much to chaotic than all of them put together, exploring the wildlife in the hedges or trying to get in the sea to be moana (we live nearby). We are also hitting the tantrum stage in full force. Its just non stop, she dropped her nap at 18 months, and there is no way shes missing out now, a big FOMO. I am firm, but I'm fair. We have very clear boundaries, and I never give into tantrums. Shes just very strong willed. Does anyone have any tips? Or is this anyone else's DC as well? TIA xx

Tire her out. Sign her up to activities like rugby tots, swimming, baby dance etc. give her an outlet for all that crazy energy.

My son was like this, not "naughty" just very confident, independent and curious. It was very hard work at the time trying to keep him alive 🤣 but he is 6 now, still very confident and independent but a lovely well behaved child.

My dd is the same. It is hard work, but I hope it is abpositive in the long run. I go with trying to tire her out!

I recommend a trampoline,an indoor swing/monkey bars,a dance mat and loop ear things (those for you).
