Any Yoto Mini users out there?

I’ve got a troubleshooting question…

When in the car and without wifi, we can’t select a Yoto player to
play a downloaded card on our account in the app. DD has a big Yoto and a mini and both options in ‘select player’ are greyed out. This means we can’t play downloaded content from the app to the mini without the physical card. Is that right? We want to do this, rather than play through our phones, so DD can listen to her mini through wireless headphones (so we don’t have to listen to the bloody Frozen soundtrack fifty times in a row). We’d also rather not carry around her whole library of cards because she’ll lose them!

Any ideas how/ whether we can do this?!

As far as I know you do need the cards to play through the players if you are not connected to WiFi.

You need the cards to play when away from wifi

What you can do is take one of the "make your own" cards and link to that, then you're only in danger of losing one card. It's easy to swap to something else by linking the same card to something new in the app if she gets sick of frozen!

the make your own trick is a good one @Merrow !

What I would have said is that you could turn your phone into a WiFi hotspot, connect the player to that, and then play things in the normal way through the app. Then even the podcast and radio would work.
