Hi,

My youngest daughter turns 4 in April! And my mind seems to have gone blank for ideas of what to get her.

can any of you lovely people help with any present ideas? What did you get them at that age?

thanks in advance.

Jo

I can help with this! Because my DS is about to turn 4 and he has been making an extensive (mental) list for months. He would like: a Care Bear, but this varies between a pink one with white circle on its tummy and in the white circle a rainbow, and a blue one with a white circle on its tummy and a moon and stars in the white circle. I'm hoping he'll plump for the first option as the second doesn't seem to be available any more. He would also like all of the books featured on the back cover of the books he already has, but concedes that he could get If I Had A Unicorn for his birthday, and If I Had A Sleepy Sloth for Christmas. Some giant wall stickers for his bedroom wall, of a big tree, a small tree, some leaves, and a sunshine. An inflatable unicorn rubber ring exactly the same as the one he already has but without a hole in it. Some real wings. Can't remember the other things and hopefully he can't either. Oh, I know, a massive bath toy exactly the same as the one his baby brother has, that is stuck in our bath and he can obviously just play with too.

He's actually getting a pedal bike, as he's outgrown his balance bike and I'm not getting another one that'll last 6 months max.

Oh! An actual suggestion: Yuval Zommer has some beautiful natural history books. My DS has the bug one which he loves, but I was thinking of getting the Big Book of the Blue as he's really interested in the sea at the moment.

What are her interests? If she's entirely not into princess stuff, then someone who got their 4yo DD an Elsa dress and clip-in hair braids and glittery kids makeup may not be relevant to her interests. Maybe she'd prefer a swing ball set and a little greenhouse and some kid size gardening tools. Or a pokemon card binder and some backs of cards to start a collection. Or a new beanbag and some fluffy cushions and blankets for her room.

My DD has just turned four and we got her a mini karaoke machine which has been a huge hit.
