I need help on stair gates

Hi, I never needed a stair gate for my child so am a bit clueless, but just had to buy one for a house I rent out on airbnb. I wanted one that could be put in and taken away easily, depending on who was staying. I bought a 'pressure fit' one (Safety 1st). The person who installed it (there was a tiny bit of assembly) has drilled it into the wall as per the photos. Can it now be removed or is it permanent? I just wondered if anyone else had the same stair gate as I'm not there to physically wrestle with it, thanks to anyone who can be bothered to answer:)

I think from the photos I have the same gate as you and it’s easy enough to remove and put back on as needed. We’ve just had some work done and the tradesmen were taking it off at times to do some work so it was on and off throughout the day. It has left marks on our wall though but nothing that can’t be repainted when we’re done with it.

Do you mean you think it’s been drilled into the wall on the left?
it looks like a normal pressure fit gate, it’s not actually drilled into the wall but tightened to fit in the space

Hi, thanks both @MsSquiz and@user1471, it has definitely been drilled, but I. was hoping it was fixings in the wall, and the gate itself can be removed

In terms of yours I can't see anything that's drilled or screwed, you would turn the wheels near the adjusters at the 4 corners (you only need to do 2 of them) and then it would drop out. And the reverse to reinstall.

A bit late now but the babydan ones are quicker and more reliable to remove and refit -they are on brackets which screw to the wall but it literally takes 5 seconds for a adult to remove the gate from the brackets (takes slightly longer than opening the gate does) and about the same to reinstall.
Also they are safe to use at the top of stairs which the pressure fit ones are not.
