How warm are down puffer vests?

My young toddler is not too keen on puffer jackets, always puts up a fight. However he will wear a puffer vest. I’ve never worn one so don’t know how warm they keep you. Is he likely to be ok in daycare in winter with just a vest? Where I live (not UK) it doesn’t get too cold, not that often below 10 degrees.

Yes, they are warm. Less restrictive than a coat which works well for toddlers. Also, toddlers are warm beings as they're always on the move!

I'd say a puffer vest over tshirt and sweatshirt will be fine if out and about. 😀

Yes they really are warm. but on coldest days he will want a hat and gloves too (if you can persuade him…)
