Small child - school uniform

My ds is 4 and turns 5 in October. He's due to start school in September and has only just gone into size 2-3 year old clothes which I think he will still be in September. Will I be able to get school uniform for this size? Anyone else's child this small? He was born 5 weeks early at 5lbs 3 so has always been tiny

M&S do age 2-3 school uniforms
The slim fit trousers work really well

I know you can get white polo shirts from M&S in 2-3 as we have some for DD. What shoe size is he? Clarks usually start some school shoes at size 7 but not the full range.

Have a look on the trutex website. They fit most sizes, including little ones. They do an age 3 that seems to run small and has an adjustable waist band.

3-4 jumpers were the smallest the school sold and we just turned over the cuffs, lasted all 3 years of infants! M&S had pinafores which worked despite being a bit big, hardest part was finding plain black shoes in a size 3 still has tiny feet, adult size 3 grown up!

I found M&S and Next great with a wide variety of age 2-3 and Startrite for shoes (black pre school size 3).

Mine were both in age 3 school uniform in reception. Except for the branded stuff, it all came from Next. Some preschools wear uniforms so I think they do quite small sizes.

Many schools have nurseries where uniform is an option so it’s pretty easy to get them smaller sizes now.

we have always used M and S

M&S was the only place we could get uniform for our tiny and very slight DC. Shoes was tricky too, and took a lot of trying on to find some that fitted. Give yourself plenty of time!

Many schools here (Wales) have a nursery attached where children start the term after their 3rd birthday so there are plenty of places (including big retailers and school uniform specific brands like Trutex) that do very small sizes.

Are you expected to have logos on any items? That might be more tricky, but lots of schools are happy with plain versions in the right colour.
