Stomach pain in 10 year old

My son is 10 and has severe stomach pain today. He had the same a few months back and we went to the GP and they suggested it might be anxiety. Today he is screaming and crying with pain all day and hasn't spoken about any worries. Can anxiety pains be this severe? I have a doctors appointment for tomorrow but I'm a bit worried in the meantime.

If he’s screaming and crying with pain I’d take him to A&E if your GP can’t see him this afternoon.

Try to establish in meantime if his tummy is bloated, when he last poo’d, does it hurt to pee, does he have a temperature.

You could call 111 for some advice, I've always found them really helpful.
