First toddler group

I struggle with social anxiety, so I usually avoid toddler groups and socializing with other mums. But I know I need to make an effort to take my son to a toddler group tomorrow. I find it hard because I don’t always get along with other mums/women, as I sometimes find them a bit cliquey and bitchy.

What do people usually wear to a toddler group? It’s at 10 AM on Monday and Tuesday mornings.

A t shirt and jogging bottoms or jeans both of which have either food stains or baby vomit or both. I found sticking lipstick on made me look like a gave half a shit but most people don't bother. If noone talks to you the first week then try a different toddler group. Some are friendly and some aren't but you can tell from one visit which sort it is.

Just wear what you normally wear. And go with the intention of having a sit down and a hot drink while your son gets to play with some different toys, you really don’t have to socialise or make the effort to chat if you don’t want to. No one will bat an eyelid.
