Back me up.

Well, I do some revision with a friend. I find it very useful. 'Course I do actually revise...

Sorry - my dd got on fabulously when she did a school project with a friend. She's 9.

RubySlippers · 12/05/2008 10:15

yes - they will chatter and then want to go out in the sun

OR spend hours doing colour coded revision timetables for revision with lots of highlighter pen and arrows

Everytime I revised with a friend for GCSES it ended up being in the park with a bottle of cider....

DD2 always reckoned she learnt much more when 2 of them revised together - this is for GCSE mostly - they could talk things through and get extra information from each other.

DS1 did all his best colour coding and time-wasting entirely on his own

i think it's a good idea, if they are serious about revising. They can test each and swop ideas, and won't get as bored. I wish i'd had someone to revise with when i was doing exams.

fondant4000 · 12/05/2008 11:15

It could work. My dcs not old enough to offer advice tho'

Maybe you could give them a treat when they finish revising - eg new nail varnish to put on in the garden, or similar??

If they don't do it, then it'll be no next time won't it, and no to her going to her friends to revise, maybe that will be an incentive...

brimfull · 12/05/2008 12:35

well I've said no

tis a new rule now

it was a boy anywya (gay I think) so he may have been interested in the nailpolish
