Watch for a 5 year old?

I'm considering getting a watch for my DD for her 5th birthday and looking for recommendations. She can't tell the time yet but do you think this is an ok age? I remember loving my first watch (a flik flak) but was probably a bit older. Thanks!

Mine had watches from reception, I wouldn't give it as a birthday present though unless she really covets one. We had something similar to flik flak.

My 4 year old DD has a Tikkers Time Teacher watch, she asked for one for Christmas 'to be like mummy'

She has no idea of the time of course but she loves it, it's only £10 if she loses it and one day, she might get the hang of it!

Don't see why not get one for a 5 year old although maybe not quite 'main present' vibes.

DD1 also had a teaching one before five (but she was keen to have one), I think from Timex. I preferred one that had the minutes going up to 55 as you work round at this age, rather than being split into 'past' and 'to' halves, as I thought it was easier to link to digital clocks, so 3:40 on her bedroom clock is 'three-forty' on her watch as well, rather than 'twenty to four'.
