turned down for uni :(

I got turned down for midwifery last week and have been licking my wounds ever since. I thought the interview went really well ??? SHowa how much i know . Any advice please or ideas on how to improve my application for next year ???

Could you not email them and ask what went wrong?

Those courses are really popular so very hard to get in to.

Also could you get some relevent experience such as working on a ward as a volenter(sp?) as that should help. If you bf maybee as a bf counceler or something simmilar?

Sure someone who knows more will give you beter advice though!

You musn't kick yourself. Those courses are extremely difficult to get into. So many people want to do it, and very few places that they are all fighting for.

You must have some experience of care work, so you could get a job in a nursing home/hospital now, and apply again next year. This might help?

I'm so sorry you were disappointed.

Have you looked at the student midwives sanctuary website? I found that really helpful.
