Me and my partner have stopped his mother from having any contact with our son (currently 9 weeks old) due to a few diffrent reasons 1. Being her attitude towards him and myself and 2. All her own children (3) have been taken off her by social services for emotional abuse, emotional neglect and even shook one as a newborn. This is also the case with my partners other baby mum. It also has gotten to the piont me and his other baby mum have had to file harrasment and stalking reports due to the calls and texts we have recieved. My partners mother has not met our son and hasnt seen the other in over a year and I am aware it ia difficult for her to go threw courts for contact and she is not likely to win given the circumstances but I was just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience and if thier was any way to legally stop any chances of her attempting to fight for contact.

I'm sorry that this is clouding your first few weeks as a Mum.

Has she actually applied through the Coyrts yet?

Not from what I'm aware. She tried to report me for harrasment using our arguments (It all got dropped after I made a counter report proving She had harrased me daily fir almost a month before I answered) but that's all she's done as off this point. I think anyway

If she hasn't applied I would try not to worry too much about it right now.

As I understand it she would have to prove that she has a relationship with your LO, which she doesn't.

Are you able to block her on everything?

Yes me and my partner have blocked her on everything but she likes to call on restricted numbers as it still goes through. She was also making tiktoks about me 😑😂 (bare in mind I'm freshly 19 and she's 39)
