My baby has a really large fontanelle and looks sunken at times but that's how it's always been. She's 7 weeks old. It was noticed by HV and then GP who has now referred us to paeds.
My gut feeling is that it's just how she's made but Google comes up with a few things but doesn't fit the picture of her.
She's thriving, 91st centile, very social and smiling and seems very developmentally normal to me. The soft spot sometimes looks sunken but she's not dehydrated and has lots of wet nappies and is a chunky baby in 3-6 months clothes already.
Just wondered if anyone else's baby had a large soft spot and if it turned out to be anything? It's about 5cm by 4cm
