Hi

I am a stay at home mom to a 2 year old and my husband works full time. He comes home pretty late so doesn't see him that often anymore. My son is just constantly rejecting my husband, cries and screams if I am not within reaching distance.

I feel very bad for my husband. I told him to spend time with him on a Sunday but our son just cries out/ screams for me. They can't even walk past the door. What do I do ? Has anyone been through this?!?

My DS went through phases of rejecting his dad. I now see our cat doing the same thing haha. Does your DH have a loud voice? I think our DS found him scary and intimidating. It took time. My DH didn't modify his behavior as much as I wanted him to around our DS. As your DS gets older and gets used to a wider range of people he will gain in confidence. All the best.

He doesn't but he does look "scary" with a beard he is also more of the disciplinary type of person 😂. He was fine with my husband when he was working part time and saw him 2 full days but now he just doesn't want to be left alone with him!
