Exactly the same as you - always have done!

We dry pail, cold rinse, then wash (at 40C half amount of powder).

The system has worked for us whatever 'consitency' we have had to deal with .

I also use fleece liners. I prefer them to paper because they keep DDs bottom drier and they must be more comfy too. I have loads of paper liners but rarely use them - any solids that don't come off the fleece after a shake over the loo will come off in the pre-rinse - I can't be doing with all that slushing around in the toilet business .

Have you seen those spray head attachment things you can get to plumb into your loo (more popular in US)? I can't begin to imagine how much mess I could make with one of those
