Swimming flotation suit for toddler

I’m just wondering if people can recommend a flotation suit or buoyancy aid for a toddler. We’re heading to Center Parcs at the weekend and want to go to the swimming pool, but I’m not sure what is best to use for my little boy who is 20 months old.

What have people found best for their toddlers?

I know longer term he’s best joining swimming lessons etc and he will do that when he starts nursery in September, but in the mean time we want to enjoy playing in the pool with him and make sure he is safe! Thanks in advance!

They are toys they are not safe to use

We used SplashAbout, and they were fabulous.

They aren't toys, no - they are aimed to give your child flexibility to move, and confidence to swim. My children thrived using them.

https://www.splashabout.com/learn-to-swim/floatsuit/floatsuit-1.html - they did have boyish designs that I used for my son 14 years ago. Maybe you can find pre-loved on Vinted.

We have a swim vest, obviously you still need eyes in the back of your head at all times but my toddler thinks she can swim and will jump in at any point, so at least she bobs back to the surface pretty quickly.

Yes we are working on swimming and water safety . . .

Ours is this Zoggs one https://tinyurl.com/2h8hvj6t

Oh I tried to shorten the Web address but MN has hidden it. Zoggs swim vest at Argos.

Center parcs have buoyancy aid vests in the swimming pools to use for free.

Thank you all! Yes, of course we realise they are not toys and we will obviously be right with him at all times, but it’s good to have something extra to help him move around and enjoy himself rather than us literally keeping hold of him the entire time. Will take a look at your recommendations 😊

The swim schools seem to use the turtle back ones that strap around. The vests are really awkward and sort of tip their balance forward face first in the water.

Toddler float vest
Any advice on buoyancy aids / life vests? We are going on a villa holiday with a pool (lucky us) & would like my 2yo non-swimmer to wear it around the house at all times in case she falls in. We will of course keep an eye on her but we all know that it can happen so quickly. Any advice on what to buy? I'd like her to float on her back if she falls in. TIA!

Sorry I can’t recommend as my little one ended up with conjunctivitis so we couldn’t swim!! But lots of useful recommendations further up on the thread 😊
