Maternity Leave

Hi all,
I was wondering whether you could help me out with a question I have regarding maternity leave pay. I am due my first baby in June this year, and want to try for another baby quite soon after, meaning I could potentially fall pregnant while on maternity leave. If my Company decide not to pay me another year of SMP, will I be entitled to claim Maternity Allowance from the Government which I believe is the same amount for 39 weeks?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I honestly don't know but I woukd see how you feel after the baby arrives before you start trying again.

Most women have a very straightforward birth and some babies can be very easy.

It's not unusual for babies still be walking at 12 months though, around half still need some parental intervention to settle back to sleep at 12 months.

yes you would, don’t think there is a restriction on claiming it again soon
