So please tell me if I'm being unreasonable. My husband continually lifts his phone and starts laughing at his WhatsApps or text while I'm mid-sentence. I find this unbelievably rude but he's almost a 60y old child who lives for his phone. What do I do? I've started just leaving the room as soon as he does this but he genuinely doesn't seem to notice or care!

Hi OP

Yes, infuriating. I suppose it depends on how much you care!

Either swipe the phone out of his hand and say “Oi! I’m talking to you!”.

Or, as you turn around and head out of the room announce loudly “You’re being a boring old fart again, I’m off” and go elsewhere, preferably out of the house to find more congenial company.

Good luck!

I'm not sure this is under parenting but it's not clear from your post whether you have actually discussed it with him and if so what the response was.
If not, try that and report back

Whatever you do don’t suggest TikTok to him. There is no hope for my 60 yr old child ..
