Hello all,

Now that the old faithful Metanium yellow nappy rash cream isn't being produced ...

What are people using ?

Sudocrem doesn't work

And the nappy rash is getting so painful :(

Weleda is excellent

Ask gp for Timodine. It's anti-fungal, antimicrobial, antiseptic and a barrier. Small amount of steroid to help with redness etc.

Only for short term use but very affective

Don't know if it's still available but Kamilosan is brilliant. I think it advertises itself as for sore nipples. But it's my 'go to' for any skin issues. Haven't needed to buy any for some time though.

Have you tried the cheaper zinc and caster oil cream that’s £1.50 a tub at the chemists?

My DS struggles with teething-related nappy rash which can get extremely sore! I second the person who suggested Timodine (it was a god send) however, I absolutely love sudosalve!

Sudocream is great for general use but not great for actual nappy rash - the sudosalve works brilliantly!!
