6 month old - night feedings (formula fed)

My baby started sleeping 9pm to 5am straight through at 3 months. Teething started early at 4 months. He then went back to needing a feed every 3 hours in the night (formula fed baby). He now naturally went to an earlier bedtime at around 5 months 6pm to 6/7am. But he continues to need feeding every 3 hours.

He started solids at 5 months and has recently gone to 2 portions of solid food a day alongside milk. He has seemed to at this point naturally adapted to what he needs such as earlier bedtime and sleeping through the night previously without a feed. I was just wondering if others found their babies will naturally stop needing night feedings when they are ready after 6 months or if they needed to slowly wean baby off the night feeds?

I hate to say it, but 6 months was horrendous for my ff one. Sleep definitely got worse and not better. Mine was waking every 30 minutes to an hour for several weeks due to teething. She still had 2 and then 1 feed a night until 9 months. The feeds just stopped working (she wouldn’t drink them), so we stopped them.

I couldn’t tell you when she slept through the night regularly, 3 or 4? Between 6-12 months can be tricky due to separation anxiety and teething. If you are getting sleep now, I would make the most of it and sleep so you are ready if it all goes pear shaped.
