DD17 Daughter is very rude to me.

My husband says he tells her all the time not to be rude. But never infront of me.

I have asked him to do it just after she's rude.

Just one word that's all. Her name.

He will not and flips.

Why???? I am being undermined every day.

I think he does tell her in private.

In what ways is she rude?

If he's telling her in private, it's probably because he hopes it'll have more of an impact than just saying her name. I think YABU to directly tell him exactly when / what to say to her, because you could just say that yourself.

I do tell her every time.

She ignores it.

I think he should back me up.

I'd never let her talk to him like that. Or anyone.

She attacks me every day.
