Baby making strange

Hi mums,
My 6 month old has started making strange with everyone but me.

I have my sister coming to mind him for a couple of hours tomorrow as I have appointment but when he seen her today he cried and cried until he got back into my arms again.

Does anyone have any advice on how to calm him down or stop making strange?

I think I'll have to cancel my appointments as I don't want him to be so upset

It's just a phase most kids go through, often at different ages. It's part of developing secure attachment.

Only you can decide whether you think you're happy to leave them to figure it out themselves, or whether you want to cancel for now. Maybe make another appointment and see her more often before then so he gets used to her.

It might be better if she takes him out and walks him about for a bit and then he's not expecting you to be there. mine would do that at that age and then calm down quite quickly.

Sounds like seperation anxiety. A tough phase which comes and goes.

Baby will learn you leave and come back - it's absolutely fine to continue as normal as long as you feel comfortable doing so.

It's totally normal, and tends to come and go as they grow and develop.

Go to your appointment; you can't not do other things in life in case your baby cries.

He'll be fine.
