Theatre/Stage Show Recommendations

Helloo!

I'm really keen on introducing my daughter to the world of theatre, music and arts! So I thought it would be nice to create a thread to see what shows/productions other parents recommend! (As you can probably guess, I'm the one in the house that fills the family calendar 😅).

So far we've seen the following:

  • Bluey's Big Play (our absolute favourite so far - it was amazing!🦩)
  • Nick Cope Live (we're super fans at home and he was brilliant! 🤖)
  • Dear Zoo (this was super sweet and really enjoyable for everyone)
  • Dear Santa (it was ok... Fun experience for a 2 year old but it definitely didn't live up to Dear Zoo in our opinion!)
  • In the Night Garden Live (probably our worst experience to be fair - our 1.5 year old lost interest and it seemed to go on for far too long in our opinion)

This year we've lined up:

  • The Hungry Caterpillar Live
  • Nick Cope Live (again, woohoo!)

Are there any other productions/shows that you'd recommend?

Thanks!

We’re going to see “there’s a bear on my chair” over half term. It’s one of my favourite books so I’m hoping the show lives up to expectations

Not a recommendation as we haven't seen it yet, but we're going to see this at Easter

Oh that looks lovely! Hope you all have a great time - you'll have to let us know how it goes after!

We haven't read that one before, it sounds very sweet though! Might have to look for it at the library... Hope you all enjoy it, you'll have to let us know what you think after! :)

The Very Hungry Caterpillar GIF

Helloo!

Just in case anyone is interested, we went to see The Very Hungry Caterpillar last week and it was SO lovely!

It's easily become our favourite theatre show to date... The atmosphere was lovely as were the puppets... It was the first time our 32 month old truly giggled watching something - highly recommend it :)

We saw this when my girls were 5&7, they loved it.

Perfect length for that age group, plus having the narrator really helped explain the story.
